Our Editorial Policy
At Relearning Money, we believe people deserve financial content that is clear, accurate, and relevant to real life. Our editorial policy exists to explain how we create, review, and maintain the articles and resources on this site.
Our Mission
Relearning Money exists to make personal finance less intimidating and more human. We reject unrealistic “quick fixes” and the guilt-driven culture often attached to money advice. Instead, we focus on combining practical tools with cultural awareness and psychological insight.
Who Creates Our Content
- Articles are written by members of the Relearning Money Editorial Team.
- Each writer has a background in financial content, digital strategy, or behavioural research.
- We draw on both professional expertise and lived experience of navigating money in the UK.
How We Ensure Accuracy
- Every article is researched and fact-checked against trusted UK sources, including:
- MoneyHelper (the government-backed Money and Pensions Service)
- The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
- Office for National Statistics (ONS)
- MoneySavingExpert
- Where appropriate, we also consult academic studies, surveys, and think-tank reports.
- All external links are reviewed to ensure they point to reputable organisations.
Updates and Reviews
- Cornerstone guides are reviewed at least twice a year.
- Time-sensitive articles are checked and updated when laws, regulations, or guidance change.
- When updates are made, we note the “last updated” date at the top of the article.
Our Editorial Independence
We do not accept payment to publish positive reviews or recommendations. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly marked as such.
